Privacy notice
Short version: we collect only what we need to reply to you and plan your trip, we don't sell it, we don't use advertising trackers, and you can ask us to delete it.
Who we are
Mongolia Relay (mongoliarelay.com), based in the Netherlands. Contact: hello@mongoliarelay.com.
What we collect
- Trip requests: what you enter in the form — name, email, optional phone/WhatsApp number, trip details and any requirements you choose to share (which may include health or mobility information if you tell us).
- Messages: emails and WhatsApp messages you send us.
- Website usage: anonymous, cookieless counts of certain actions (for example, that a trip request was submitted or a WhatsApp link was clicked, and on which page). We do not store IP addresses with these events and do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- Security: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP addresses to protect the site from abuse, and may use a privacy-preserving challenge (Turnstile) on the form.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and plan your trip (at your request).
- With your agreement, to share the relevant trip details with the local guide, driver or operator we propose — we tell you before we do this.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages help travelers.
Who we share it with
- Local suppliers in Mongolia, only the details needed to plan and run your trip, and only after telling you.
- Service providers that host our website and email (e.g. Cloudflare).
We don't sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Trip requests that don't lead to a trip are deleted within 24 months. If you travel with us, we keep records as long as needed for the trip and for legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@mongoliarelay.com. If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
If we change this notice materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
